Plinth founder, Sharon Cox, received a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University and a Masters of Architecture in Urban Design with Distinction from Harvard University where she received a Commendation for Design Excellence and was awarded the Prize for Greatest Overall Achievement.

Her 30-plus years of experience as an architect includes the position of Associate and Senior Designer at Skidmore Owings and Merrill, San Francisco and Project Architect at Freebairn-Smith and Crane. Several of her designs have been awarded by the American Institute of Architects at the state and national levels.

Her expertise includes building design and renovation with extensive experience in historic building  intervention, retail and office interiors, urban storefronts and restaurant design.
